Phone consultation
Before the journey, I had a phone consultation with Dr. Geeta Shroff.
From unexplained symptoms, extensive medical examinations and a diagnosis where the underlying cause was not treated — to treatment with Dr. Geeta Shroff in New Delhi.
I share my personal experience to give hope to others living with complex, long-lasting and unexplained symptoms.
There is hope — even when you have lost faith.
This is my own story with long-term symptoms and Lyme disease.
I went through many medical examinations before I finally got answers.
After the diagnosis, I travelled to New Delhi for treatment with Dr. Geeta Shroff.
My goal is to help others who recognise themselves in the symptoms.
This website is about my personal journey with long-lasting and complex symptoms, extensive medical examinations in Norway, a Lyme disease diagnosis and treatment with Dr. Geeta Shroff in New Delhi.
I share my story because Lyme disease can be difficult to understand, difficult to detect, and because many people feel alone when their body no longer functions as it used to.
My symptoms started in mid-August 2025. At first, it was difficult to understand what was happening, but the symptoms gradually became more numerous and more severe.
I experienced a long list of symptoms involving my digestion, nervous system, head, muscles and overall energy. Eventually, it affected my everyday life, sleep, focus and quality of life.
Before I received the diagnosis, I went through extensive medical examinations in Norway. Still, I did not receive an explanation that matched what I was experiencing in my body, and the underlying cause was not treated.
Before the diagnosis was made, I went through extensive investigations with internal medicine specialists and several other medical professionals.
Despite thorough testing, no clear explanation was found for my symptoms.
After months of symptoms, uncertainty and numerous medical examinations in Norway, I decided to travel to New Delhi for further treatment.
The journey marked the beginning of a new chapter. For me, it was about finding hope, receiving treatment and exploring a path forward after a long and difficult period of illness.
The first symptoms appeared in mid-August. Over time, they became more complex and more difficult to live with.
I went through several examinations in Norway, including CT, ultrasound, MRCP, colonoscopy, gastroscopy and blood tests.
The diagnosis was made by microbiology researcher Sigurd Aartun in Stavanger using dark-field microscopy.
After a phone consultation with Dr. Geeta Shroff, I travelled to New Delhi for treatment.
After a few days of treatment, I began to notice the first signs of improvement.
The treatment in New Delhi took place over approximately three weeks, with follow-up along the way.
After the treatment period in New Delhi, I returned home with a continued plan and follow-up.
Extreme gas 24/7, digestive problems and abdominal discomfort.
Pain under the right rib cage and pain in the area around the liver capsule.
Migrating and radiating back pain.
Extreme tiredness, exhaustion and the feeling of never waking up rested.
Constant heaviness, head pain, pressure behind the eyes and pain in the temples.
Irritability, concentration problems, confusion and brain fog.
Burning tingling on the left side of my face, drooping on the left side, numbness in arms and hands.
Involuntary muscle twitching and periods of ice-cold hands.
Frequent night sweats and periods of insomnia.
Unintentional weight loss of 9 kg over four months.
The list was even longer. These are some of the symptoms that shaped this period of illness.
The final diagnosis was made on February 21, 2026 by microbiology researcher Sigurd Aartun in Stavanger.
He used dark-field microscopy of red blood cells. According to the examination, a severe infection was found and assessed as a chronic condition with bacteria inside the cells.
Lyme disease is often called “the great imitator” because it can resemble many different symptoms and disease patterns.

During my stay in New Delhi, I received treatment and close follow-up throughout the treatment period. This became an important turning point in my journey.
Before the journey, I had a phone consultation with Dr. Geeta Shroff.
I travelled to New Delhi on April 12, 2026 to begin treatment.
The treatment took place over approximately three weeks, with follow-up along the way.
After a few days of treatment, I began to notice the first signs of improvement.
The improvement came gradually. After a few days of treatment, I started to feel that something was changing.
After approximately three weeks of treatment in New Delhi, I returned home. The road ahead is about follow-up, patience and gradually rebuilding the body.
My experience is that Lyme disease can create a wide and complex symptom picture. That can make it difficult to find the right explanation, especially when symptoms come from several parts of the body.
I do not share my story to give medical advice, but to show that there are people who have gone through similar processes — and that there can be hope.
